ok guys heres the news, hold on to your hats! first of all we have a new class T4/pro outlaw this will be any car with one or more power adders and this class will be fully sponsored by 1320 fab in Sacramento! thanks Lo for all the support! next this will be a 2 day event with qualifying on sat and sun! increased payouts and a killer bikini show on sat at the end of the day with car show awards and the winners on display in the pro pits! and last but not least the track prep has been sponsored by CTR Dynosports in Modesto, Tech 3 in San Jose, and Import Trix in San Fransisco, Red Zone in San Jose and also Team powerline in Vacaville. the track prep at this event will be like a nhra sanctioned event so bring extra axels and hold on to your ***, and one last remark if your car breaks or feels like its broke pull over to the side of the track immediately and stop do not oil down the track believe me you be hated by many people if you destroy a well prepped track especially by the pro drivers who need a good track for safety, there will be more to be announced!

1600 for full race, and 1850 for street? jesus... 1850 with driver? there arent many street cars that weigh 1850!
we ar just trying to keep out the ringers and cheater cars its just a #. and there's no cutoff on the class its heads up!
Are thye going to have someone working the Gas booth both days. Unlike a couple of the event's it is sometimes a hit or miss on Race Gas.
Hopefully it is a lot better organized than the last event.
Bump for more tracks to race.
Thanks to the sponsor of the event as well

also we have hired an announcer for the event to better promote the teams, drivers, and people responsible for building these cool cars. the most important thing to us as racers is participation and how we can better our sport! we raised the payout to get alot of the old racers out of la and where ever else. i want more racers there even if it makes it harder for me to do well. think about it do you think i want eric or skunk showing up, yes i do because its better for our races! They might or might not but i would love to see the stands full and have a good event rather than a win because hardley any of the cars show up! honestly i dont get paid for helping with the cmi thing but i do it because i love our sport and hope for bigger and better things later to come! we are ambassodors of our sport if we treat it like its a priviledge to race we just might lose it one day!
i would like to thank everyone who helps out our sport and for all the new sponsor of the new class and track prep hopefully we can bring CMI's back to the old time and make the event as fun as possible!

come on guys do you think we have time to sit at the scale and weigh these cars all day im just trying to keep out the 1600 pound crx with all lexan rear and sides with some 100 pound kid whopping out the class, if we start this weight **** up again ill just drop the wieght thing compleatly and its every one for them selfs! ok
in street class, 1600 and 1800 are the same pretty much, because neither are gonna be real street cars. but whatever dude same **** different day. ill still be there...
how much does a crx wieght with alot of stuff taken out and and lexan rear and sides probably 1500 to 1600 with a light driver especially if the heater core and the doors all cut up!
Will you have a stand by safety crew for the unfortunate cars that crashes. I mean full on JAWS OF LIFE CUTTING EQUIPMENT AND WATER TO EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE IF IT MAY SO HAPPEN. Kind of like the NHRA event. On the Quick 8 class, how is it fair when a guy runs 8.9 e.t. or so and you are only going 10.4 e.t. How is that fair? At least SPFWD class and a PRO Class. Us garage racer will never stand a chance, even going to the semi-round.
if you noticed the t/4 class is a street class and if the guy is running 10.0 or faster i think he will want to run quick 8 for the 1200 prize money rather than the t/4 class. so the classes should be very even now! and if you cant run 10's or elevens youd better get faster or race brackets. not trying to be an *** but racing a certain class means you need to come up to the level every one else is!
and there is a qualified crew there for normal everyday issues. as far as the issue your probably talking about the car that burned to the ground happened to be the owners fault due to faulty wiring that started a carpet fire on the return road and there was nothing anyone could have done! we always are concerned for your saftey. and for anyone who wants to colmplain about this remember next time you need to pass tech and you dont have the required saftey equipment!

a crx weighing that much with all that **** is not considered a street car to all the guys that stay within rules of the bigger events, we are stuck. becasue you have guys with hacked up "street cars" that arent even street cars racing in the "street" class.
ok then no weight restiction at all and im going to build a crx under boti rules now to prove my point only rear lexan and cut doors with one of my race motors. watch and see low elevens or maybe 10's. neil im not trying to be an *** but i threww that # out to protect you guys and you guys just complain so we dont really have time to sit at the scales anyways but watch out i just bought a crx to prove my point! so now maybe we will see another legal 10 second street car!

but you guys complain to much! i tryed to make the weight at 1950 last time and every one complained and now i lowered it and everyone still complains. and by the way k motors at most other event get a bigger weight anyways so you of all people shouldnt complain with your 180+ ft lbs of trq. good luck neil and lighten it up a bit and make it faster!
i would if i could, but it wouldnt be legal for any other events. funny ive never been weighed when running street class at other events....
maybe nhra has a weight limit on k series?
oh and btw its only 162 ft lbs...

That's what I was saying. I weighed in at 2460 lbs with 1 power adder to compete. **** 1700 pounds with 1 power adder or even 2. Hell, if you guys are going by NHRA safety rulebook. Might as well go with their weight rules. crx w/1700 lbs is like on steroid.

we are garenteed a qualifying pass on sunday right. no matter what happens (i.e rain delay or maybe some other b.s.) I Can't make satuday races no more. I really liked the one day event at cmi come race and go home not alot of waitng around. Oh well i only need 1 pass anyways (unless the NEW motor gets done then i might have to call in sick on sat.)
