hello everyone im a new crx owner heres the car a 1990 from what i can tell its a dx auto tranny 137000 miles 100% stock i have changed the o2 sensor and reset the ecu by pulling hazzard fuse after driving on the highway the check light comes on code 17 and she shifts alittle weird for a min or two then the check light comes on .how bad is this can i leave her alone is it going to messup the tranny ? and its a 4 speed auto is there an overdrive ? at 60mph my rpms are 3000-3200 is this normal.refuel first time 284 miles ,8.271 gal= 34.37 mpg is this good average or bellow? i cahnged sparkplugs and last owner had her service at the dealer since new last maintance was at 135000 may of 05 so think she is in good shape .i replaced the oil with 5w-30 thanks for any info.

code 17 is vehicle speed sensor - if your speedometer is working, you shouldn't be getting the code 17 unless maybe your sensor is bad - rpm at 60 will vary with tire size - with stock size tires (175/70R13) for the car, you should be at about 66mph at 3000rpm - mileage seems about right for auto car

 

does the car have overdrive? and why does the esu need to know what speed you are going if it has a cable from the tranny to the speedo? thanks
