Some teaser pics of my new EF topmount...
edit: complted pics are at the bottom of the page...

I still obviously have another runner to weld on there, but it should be done very soon. I will post up pics of the finished design, once I'm finished. The whole goal of this manifold was to be able to fit a T3/T4 in an EF with a topmount design, WITHOUT cutting any of the chassis. The entire manifold was designed with every aspect of the car/setup in mind. Even the oil drain line has a perfect path down to the pan. I'm hoping that I can start selling these relatively soon.
Let me know what you think!

Nice!!!
(even though I hate teasers
)
I have a question though, how would one run a water-cooled turbo? It looks to me as though the water fitting would not fit (or interfer with #2 runner).

Thanks! yeah, I hate teasers too, but to be honest I was too excited to be this close to finishing this prototype I had to post some pics.
A water cooled turbo would fit without a problem. There is more than enough room for the water lines. Keep in mind though, that I will only be making these to fit a T3/T4E. No S housings for this manifold.

Looking Sweet....
I got a good buddy whom is in the process of building a CRX now, Keep me up to date if you start selling these!

I have seen alot of EF topmounts lately and this one is my favorite. Mainly b/c the turbo sits parellel with the motor, instead of angled. So you're gonna be making these? How much?

Thanks guys! Yeah, I wanted to keep it simple, and keep the turbo parellel with the engine, so it wouldn't complicate the charge piping/downpipe, or the intake tube. Origionally, when I first designed this in solidworks, I was hoping that I could get away with something that could keep the full length radiator. Unfortunetly, there just isn't enough room (damn EFs
).
I will be selling these, and they will be made to order. The price I have right now is going to be 899 shipped, so I can cover my expenses. I was hoping the price would be lower, but they take me almost 25-30hrs to make because I have to take my time making sure everything fits like it should. I have a JIG made, but since the turbo fits so close to the runners, It takes a lot of paitence and work to get it just right. If your interested you guys can PM me...

I will...But I didn't want to give away the pics of manifold until Its finished. I'll get some soon...

Im sure ur keeping this in mind, but make sure its easy to tighten the bolts for the flange down.
As soon as i finish my RHD, and everythings nice and running, im gonna get one of these for my motor build.

Yup that would work. The manifold just won't work with an S compressor housing is all.

It should fit just fine. The only thing needed will be an aftermarket crossmember.

Of course! maybe we could fab something up this summer?
Heres the completed pics...

Obviously the WG flange placement is going to change...

And this is why these are going to be a pita to make!!!

Looks like a good reason to angle the turbo. I guess this is gonna be the max size turbo you can fit on there since it isnt angled

Are you going for a 4" DP too?!?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Right on! Whats her setup gonna be? I'm sure we could fab up a 4" DP, but I'm definetly not making the manifolds with that in mind. I'm personally going to run just a 2.5" to my 3" exhaust.

Not for me. I'd rather NOT angle the turbo and be able to run a filter, than have a manifold that can fit a larger compressor housing. I'm sure 90% of the people that turbo their EFs don't use an S compressor housing.
