alrite hondatech s2000 heads. i need your help once again.
im getting a set of staggered rims. here are the specs.
frnt: 16x8 +42
rear: 17x9 +42
(side note: my fenders will be rolled. and yes i know +42 is a low offset of s2k)
my question is what tire size should i run. i was thinking 225/45/16s and 245/40/17's
i would like some input/opinions.
thanks

Thats a very odd wheel size you have chosen. First off, why the 16/17 combo? And second, why 17x9 +42? If you are going to run a 17x9 wheel you need a higher offset, even with rolled fenders you may still rub.
I'm not bashing your choice, just curious as to why you decided to go with it

well these rims are discountinued they are specified for nsx. there are only a handful of these sets in north america. probably only 4-5 sets. im pretty lucky to get used set.

Ok that makes sense then. With 17x9 +42, you will need to roll and run lots of neg camber. (maybe even cut the inner lip of the fender)
Also for the front, if you want 225 go with a 225/50/16. Not 225/45/16.
I don't think you will have any problems, there is a member on s2ki running enkei rpf1 in 17x9 +45 on all 4's. And he regularly tracks his car so i'm guessing it doesn't rub. Fender mods were obviously done to make it work though

because thats the correct size
225/50/16 to retain the closest size to stock tire height. (i'm going by ap1 sizes)
stock= 205/55/16 tire wall height is 205 x .55= 112.75
225/50/16 = 225 x .5 = 112.5
225/45/16 = 101.25 < as you can see your orig set up is about 11mm off from stock tire wall height.
Also if you are going 225f and 245r are you going to run a stiffer front sway bar? Because your car will be more induced to over steer with this set up. And if you have an ap1 like me, thats probably that last thing you want.

if i dont get 205/55/16s es100's im debating on getting 225/50/16s as u said.
but i doubt ill get 255's in the rear due to the aggressive offset. ill stick to 245/40/17s
thanks for the input....keep it coming guys.

id love to run 255's in the rear...but its easier said than done. especially if the offset is +42 and im planning to slamm the car.

225/50/16 and 245/4017 bro.
225/45 would be a thin tire for the front. keep like the stock ap1 size's height as mentioned above i believe.
congrats!...sucks that it might rain sunday i dunno if imma got o the meet if it does.
