Default ExplicitSpeed360's rebuild project JDM H22 with F22/H23 crank and rods, 2.3L Stroker!

The weekend before last I spun a bearing. Ran good until I missed 4th gear and still everything was fine. On the way home ran same until I got a few miles from my house and knock knock...whos there? sure enough I look and mr spun bearing. Had it towed home sure enough cyl 3. I am taking the engine out this weekend early next week. I made a few phone calls and got the build sketched out. I will be rebuilding the engine with a F22/H23 crank and rods on a budget but done wise as long as everything mics out ok. I will post pictures of the de construction and rebuild this needs to be done within this month. The F22/H23 crank and rods are stout pieces from the factory. I am hoping for 200+ whp and 165+ ft lbs or torque with the stock JDM h22 cams p28 crome. As another setup similar just made 240 whp and 170+ ft lbs or torque. This is my daily driver.

The build:
93 JDM H22 50k on it (keepin the stock used rings) gotta love FRM sleeves
F22 crank and rods 2.3L
ARP rod bolts
Knife edge crank by me to clear squirters
Balanced

I have 30k mill of the head already and SS replacement valves in it. Along with my own Full PnP job. My compression should be in the area of 11.2-11.4-1.

Back to square one: OLD DYNO

184 whp @ 6900 rpm and 158 ft lbs or torque at 3200 rpm

Why not go h2b while you're at it? It'd definitely rip!

The before/after times i've seen have gained a couple MPH in the trap speeds....more important IMO than actual E.T.

for the H series...it's still a great engine/transmission combo.

ya I am runnin constant trap speed of 103/104 mph on hankooks soon to be a lil higher my guess 105-109 mph... which in theory should be high 12s with some sticky DR stuff on an ideal 1.8-2.0 60' time...

My best run to date woulda been my 14.4 @ 80 mph missed shift where did my 23 mph go? lol

The car is just a monster top end and likes to play catch up...I had the car pretty much down...I had no muffler 2.5" exhaust out the passenger side before the rear wheels and was losing the power down low and off the line with no muffler... I ran a 14.0 @ 102 with stock header and 2" exhaust with a cherry bomb end of last season this was before tuned on the dyno too. That was too much restriction but some is needed....

As you can see on the exhaust ports "We be runnin a lil rich" 10s was the A/F ratio after 4k rpm lean that out and 190 whp would be easy had on the dyno... Just goes to show you how our PnP jobs stack up because the head is stock minus a mill and our PnP job. JDM p13 spoon chip was thrown out the window and the p28 crome will be welcomed in...

Got rid of the charcoal canister and placed the fuel filter more out of the way from harm...doing a wire tuck also running the wires either in the rails or under them...fuse box going to be hidden...and of course the vacuum hose box will be gone...
