Default Drag radials - 205/45/15 vs. 205/55/14 -> which size is better?

I'm looking at two sets of Nitto DR's. One set (205/45/15) is $120 mounted on some OEM wheels (legit).

The other set (205/55/14) is $200 mounted on OEM steelies (legit).

Which tire size is better for me, and which deal is better overall? Both have great tread left.

The 15's will have a slightly smaller overall diameter.

The 14's will have slightly more sidewall. You might be able to air down a little more.

Either would be fine. I'd say go for the ones that are cheaper.

I would take a look at what size drag radials are available. Sooner or later you will need new tires, and you don't want to be stuck with a wheel size for which you can't get drag radials once the set you get wears out (which it will, and quickly). Someone here mentioned that 205/45-15 has been discontinued in the Nitto...

To be honest, these are going to be used for ONE drag racing event in June. After that, I'll probably sell them and get some 205/50/15 BFG's to mount on a pair of matching 15" bronze rota grids (I have a set of 16" bronze grids with Hankook RS2's for daily driving).

I'm going to go ahead with the 205/45/15's then.
