"get the car on your property. goto the dmv and file for vehical information to look up who is the owner of the car. After they go through the dmv records and get back to you, then file for ABANDON VEHICAL ACT. basically the dmv send a letter to who ever the car is filed under saying they have 60 days to get the car off your property. after the 60 the car is now your property and you are allowed to register it and all that good stuff. good luck. its rare to see a white hatch. somebody get this!"

If a vehicle is abandoned on private property (46.2-1208), the property owner can request ownership information from DMV by completing the form CRD93 and paying a $8.00 fee. Upon receipt of the ownership information, the property owner is responsible for notifying all persons having interest in the vehicle (i.e., lienholder, owner), of the vehicle's status by registered or certified mail, (return receipt requested) and advising them to reclaim and remove their vehicle within thirty days. If this does not occur, the property owner may apply for a certificate of title in his name.
woot sounds good!

You tell me the address of where it's sitting at, and I'll go pick it up and register it myself.
Haha just kidding.
Basically you do what was said in the first post. You're not planning to steal it are you? Or is it already stolen and you're just going to buy it and try to get a title from it.
What if it was like stolen out of state and then the DMV sends them that letter and they roll up and take it back. You're out of $300, heh.

History:
Guy in NOVA had it built at inline pro, some guy stole it, stripped it, and then the shell was recovered later, by that time the insurance company paid for everything done to the car and whatnot so they deemed it a non repairable, and the owner sold it to a guy which is 4 hours from me
