Carbopn Fiber Parts
O.K. Guys, in approximately 1 month, my shop will be up and ready to produce nearly ANYTHING in carbon fiber. Please email me with any parts you may want fabricated. I will do one-offs, mass-quantity, whatever you need. I will NOT however do hoods unless the hood is not being made by anyone else...there are 10,000 shops out there that make hoods and I want to specialize in parts that are not in production...some examples: Complete dashes (not trim kits, replacement dashes), center consoles, fenders, stock style airboxes, custom CAI boxes, shields, ducts, etc etc... I have built several motorcycle fairings, and many odd and end parts...anyway, please email me if you want some custom work done and Ill send you back a (((quote))) or at least a real good idea of the cost. Im not trying to get rich here, just provide some c/f work that no one else does...

I think the most badass thing in the world would be a carbon fiber dash, with gauges, HVAC, and accesory openings for more gauges, tuning pods, etc... You could carry the carbon fiber all the way down between the seats on the center console, over the e-brake....

I can definitely do an airbox for any gen civic. After years of autocrossing with the scca, I've found that honda engines like airboxes over cone filters. I am prototyping a Mugen style cold air airbox for my 4g hatch now that utilizes a larger airfilter, but fits into the stock location...except the battery has to be relocated. My battery is in the rear anyway, so it doesnt pose a problem for me...Id like to build one that doesn't require the battery relocation, but space is limited. On the 5g civics, the battery is out of the way, so it would be easier to accomplish this.

Not to start a debate or anything in your topic- but i think you meant to say that hondas like flat panel filters to retain low end power. They do not flow as well as a cone filter at high rpms, as proven on countless dyno tests

the dyno charts compared a stock drop-in replacement filter with a cone filter. If you use a larger flat panel filter with more surface area, it will flow as good or better than a cone filter. I use an airbox from another vehicle with a huge K&N flat filter and modified the bottom of the airbox to pull in cold air and it works very well. +1.5 hp at the wheels over my previous AEM cold air intake. But as you said, for the most part, at wide open throttle a cone filter will out-flow a stock-sized K&N anyday. -PEACE!!-

Yeah that makes sense...when dealing with a oem drop in vs a cone then the cone will outflow at high rpms, but lose at low. Thats why the z.speed airbox from the late 90s was a great idea, they are impossible to find now, and the ARC one is close to 500 which is a rip off.

also a hatch but if i get the hatch and want to use leaxan will i have to rivet it in or can i mount it the stock way??

I'd be interested in an EF lip as well. EF fenders and rear trunklid (sedan, of course) would be neat also. Offtopic, but would you do one-offs for motorcycle parts also? I've got several small items I'd like in CF, mainly for poser-value
I'd vote for 88-91 CRX fenders (Civic's will be slightly different, I'll let the hatch guys vote for themselves). Ideally carbon-kevlar and perhaps with a little bit of a flare. I guess if you get to doing this (i.e. have a mold) the last two requests can be minor adjustments...
Thanks for all the replies. Ive just ordered a truckload of carbon fibre material and resin and production will begin shortly. Please check the back periodically to see which parts are available. And, yes...I am also making c/f bike fairings starting with the yamaha YZF R1. as for a c/f car...how about a 1/18 scale???

One of the first items to be made will be a spoon-duckbill-type spoiler for the 4g hatch (cause I own one)...followed closely by a CRX dash, then a c/f girlfriend
Make CF brake ducts. Cut out the two "vents" on the front of an 90-91 CRX and the piece of the inner fender and put a form fitted piece there. Intake duct to fit the headlight would be cool too. CF underbody panel would be awesome, combine that with a defuser.
make the cf lip, fenders with the sidemarkers holes already in it, rear spoiler like the spoon ones that are made for the 92-95,door pillar, and a very good cf hood, if you get all of these, i will buy ASAP!!! let me know if you can get all of these..
Bah, forget all this useless crap like carbon fiber fenders, side panels, steering wheels, ******, whatever. I like the airbox idea, but how about something like a carbon fiber intake plentnum for people running individual throttle bodies. The ducting would kinda be useless since you could get plastic ducting for cheaper. How about a carbon fiber under body cover? Something where you could drill holes and bolt it up to the underbody of the car for aerodynamics.
