JDM TRANSMISSION from Prelude Type-S (ATTS LSD TRANSMISSION)
This tranny comes directly from a 1999 Prelude Type-S JDM. This tranny is equiped with the ATTS LSD system. It comes straight off the engine straight from Japan, I never used it and its got under 60k on it!! u have to use the atts to work the LSD?

 

This is an ATTS LSD system, it does not only lock the differential like standard LSD systems, it does much more. So to answer your question, YES, you have to use the whole system together to make the ATTS LSD work, OR you can just use the tranny without the ATTS LSD but you will have to make a modification; there is a special drive shaft piece you can build or have built to replace where the ATTS module would have been...

FYI...ATTS means: Active Torque Transfer System

A relatively new technology is the electronically-controlled active differential. A computer uses inputs from multiple sensors, including yaw rate, steering angle, and lateral acceleration and adjusts the distribution of torque to compensate for undesirable handling behaviors like understeer.
