help with adjusting springs without the tool :(

um ya, i purchased some off brand coil springs off ebay last summer, and i kinda lost the tool (tool circled in blue) u need for turning that thing that sits under the spring that basically will tighten or loosen the spring which ever way u want to go. (circled in red) and like i said its off brand, and so i dont know how im going to be able to find the correct size tool for the job. ive heard they are called spanner wrenches. but i just called up checker auto parts and the guy there said spanner wrenches are used on axles or something on 4wd trucks. so um ya, my teacher at the college also said i could use an adjustable wrench to twist the thing on it to tighten the spring, cuz damn that spring is loose, its just kinda hanging there over the shock absorber.
also the studs/bolts or w/e that goes into the little thing (circled in red) are stripped on that current side, so um how do i get those out? cuz i kinda need to loosen those before i start adjusting anything.
but ya main question is, where would i find the right size tool for this? ive called up the local repair shops, and most of the guys have never heard of what im talking about, nor do they sell it. so am i just fucked or am i goign to have to improvise with a different tool?
thx
and well it looks like the picture isnt showing up... so anyone that has a webpage or w/e to upload them from let me know and ill send ya them to post them up here
thx again
k i uploaded it through that.
but i think i solved my own problem, i searched through ebay to find the guy that sold them to me, and im just gonna buy anothe set of springs for $30 mainly for the tool, which is kinda sad. so ya

You can use a flathead and a hammer.. jam the flethead into one of the grooves on the thing that spins to adjust the springs in the direction you want it to spin, then knock it with the hammer
