The Type R doesn't get a special front, it just gets whatever bumper other tegs were getting that year and a front lip. Those front lips were usually optional on lower model tegs also.

1994-1997, US- 4 circular headlights (Type R in 1997, Champ White only...comes with a front lip, no side moldings, no sunroof and a tall spoiler)

98+, US- 4 circular headlights, but updated. (Type R comes with a front lip which was optional on GS-Rs and LSs also, no side moldings, no sunroof, and a tall spoiler etc.)

that's Opie's car, which is for sale here, btw.

Japan got the same front as we did for their 1993.5-1996, then updated to the one piece headlights aka "JDM front end."

Edit- wow, random search and I ended up with the same color, same angle and same wheels!

Agreed but the Type ARHHHH-ness of it must make it that much more special. Its just like any other 98+ front except with a stock factory lip.

well one small difference on the us type r bumpers for 98+ is that they dont have grill stuff going across the mid section. just a huge space.

They've still got the black plastic section in the mouth opening, check out the pic up there. /\

It's definitely the exact same bumper.

Wrong, someone cut the grill out of that one.
