For stock ignition system I would stick with NGK's. With exception of MSD, the rest of 'em just don't fit right or are just pure shitty quality.

THere was a very convincing thread on here that i saw maybe.... a month or two ago. OEM wires were the best. Or at least the longest lasting.

Stock. OEM plugs and wires.

OEM = NGK or Denso copper. They're about $2 ea. Don't waste your money on anything else.

Platinum are for newer cars that have 100K between plug changes, and are actually not as good of a conductor as copper.

Irridium are $12 - 15, and you'll never feel the difference they give you unless you're built to the hilt; and still might net less than a hp on the dyno.

That's what I've experienced too.

Yeah, people don't seem to realise how efficient the OEM systems are. It's not like some other cars where you can gain alot of 'free' horsepower.

127 and 160 hp (00 EX and Si respectively) out of 1.6L? The systems are pretty damned optimized already; and I have seen many cases where aftermarket parts have actually decreased hp on Honda motors.

There are much better and cheaper ways to gain horsepower than the ignition system. Until you're running well over the stock redline, you can't beat OEM Honda ignition.
