CV Shafts

For a auto to manual conversion...do you need to replace both driver's side and passenger side axles with manual axles? what is the "intermediate shaft"?

you need a manual driver side axle and a halfshaft. an intermediate shaft is also called a halfshaft or midshift, it bolts to the block and the spline of the axle goes into one end of the halfshaft

The pass side axles are the same auto & stick

they are actually slightly different. the bearings on the spider gears are shaped differently. but i don't think there are any negative side affects to using an auto pass side axle.
