Tribute to my ol' CA5 Accord
It's sold now, but we've had some great times together. I loved this car; reliability second to none, sleek body lines, a great ride, great gas milage and the fact that it was my first are things that'll make me remember this car forever. However, owning a CA-type Accord will really teach you a thing or two about aftermarket appriciation - for the old CA's there are practically no products available. I will definitely be looking into getting a CB7 Accord for my next car; the reasoning beeing better aftermarket support, EZ-swappable H22A's galore, better looking interior, looks that rival those of the CA's, relatively low weight and of course, the fact that I just prefer roomy sedans.

Camera used is still my crap-tacular 2MP PowerShot A60 from early 2003. Where, oh where would I be without Photoshop?

Thanks, but I don't have any other pictures I deem worthy of H-T. Now is the time I regret not taking several other pictures of it, but what can you do... Live and learn.

Well, both bumper covers were loose, scratched up and the rear one warped on the right side, also there are no inner bumpers on Euro models, making it a possible mismatch with the North American Accord. Two of the rear taillights had cracks and the (stationary 1. gen Legend-looking) headlights were both cracked and the reflectors slightly rusted. Hood and fenders were fine, tho', but shipping to the States would have been a killer. Anyway, I got a decent bid on it, so I didn't complain, just sold it and was done with it.

Woah, you had the version with the stationary lights? You dont see those often. I would have kept it but I understand your reasons for selling it.

That's right, sir; stationaries. It is my impression that flip-ups are only found on the North American Accords. I definitely wish I had done more mods on the car while I had it (fitting aluminium wheels, finishing debadging and repainting the tailgate, for instance), but when you're in school in a small town, money is hard to come by. I suppose regrets, "could haves" and "should haves" comes naturally when parting with a dear mean of transportation.

Last bump before I lay it to rest. Please feel free to comment on composition, angle, color & lighting and other strickly photography-related topics. For great measure, I also enclose the original picture straight from the camera, just resized in Photoshop to illustrate the difference post processing can inflict on an image:
