HELP installing shift knob

Default HELP installing shift ****

i jus bought a pilot motorsports aluminum racing shift **** for ma 98 civic and it will not fit on it seems like it should come with threads on it but it doesnt it seems as though i hav to force-screw it on which i cannot do. should i jus look for a vehicle specific shifter? suggestions greatly apprecitated

are there threads on the inside of the **** or are there tiny fastners near the base of the ****?

If you're talking about shift *****, there's nothing that's vehicle specific about it.

some of the...cheaper models use small allenkey fasteners at the base of the ****... but it doesn't sound like fasteners at all since u said it feels like you have to force screw it on

So with that asside I've never had a problem with different size bars/***** but I'm sure there are different sizes, make sure the shift **** is pre-threaded, I know that I had my friend's DC Sports Shifter **** and I had to put a lot of force to screw it on, but then again, it actually went on, probably different size threads or something, because I didn't cross thread it or damage either part...

hondas have a specific thread pitch for shift *****. send it back and buy something honda specific, ie j's racing, mugen, spoon.

either the thread inside is too large/small, or you need that stupid plastic cap and and tighten with 3 screws. i hate that ****. momo does that **** which is why i say expletive momo shift *****. I just got a ARC style from f1spec that **** screws right on looks cool too

dude they come with little blk things that slip on the you tighten the set screws on the base of the shifter. come on yer giving honda owners a bad name lol jk!
