Code 45 after cams, what to do with FPR??

I just got Crower 62403 cams put in my LS ('98 OBD II), which only has an intake otherwise. The car seems to run fine, but after about 30-40 minutes of driving after I reset the ECU, the CEL comes on and gives me a code 45 (too rich/lean). An FPR should be here Monday. My question is, how should I adjust the FPR so as to be lean enough at idle and rich enough up high? Any other tricks I can use? There is a similar post on superhonda.com by somebody else, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to make sense out of most of it. I have cam gears but they're set at 0,0. THANKS!!
you will need a Apexi S-AFC to lean out the fuel at idle. those cams cause it to run extremly rich at idle and the only way to fix it is with a electronic fuel controler.
the FPR will work as well but if you lean the FPR at idle you also leaning it out through out the entire RPM band.

So do you think I should raise the pressure when I get the FPR? I don't care much about it running rich at idle, I can always lean it out for emissions. That means the CEL will always be on, right? I can't tell if it's lean or rich at high revs. Of course I will get it on a dyno, but not for another couple months. Thanks.

You might want to try the ENDYN idle fuel pressure mod. Go to http://www.theoldone.com for a write up on this. It involves drilling a relief into your fuel regulator. I think this may help you, it is also slightly cheaper than AFC

Hey, that sounds like a good idea, I'll try to do that too when I install my FPR. Thanks a bunch! By the way, would doing this affect fuel pressure when not at idle in any way?

do NOT drill a hole into the regulator.
that modification is ONLY for people who are running aftermarket high pressure fuel pumps. the only reason they drill a hole into the regulator is because even with the adjustible regulator set at the very minimum the pressure is still to high because of the high flow/pressure fuel pump. so a hole is drilled to relive some pressure.
if you have a stock fuel pump leave the regulator alone.

Dang, sorry, I thought they were reputable and I don't think they mentioned that you only need to do it for aftermarket pumps. So of course I won't! Thanks for the info. So my CEL's probably always going to be on huh?
Do the S-AFC thing, however......be carefull where you put that thing. I had mine stolen after 2 weeks and it was not out in the open, in the cigeratte tray area. Course if you (1) have an alarm or (2) have a coupe with framed windows your smarter than me.
