Default Trying To Understand A CEL

http://www.we-todd-did-racing....3D%3D

So I've Got This Engine Code 20 (Electronic Load Detector) So what does that mean, senses if there is too much power? or too little, what does it affect??

I'm Also running Code 17....and my Speedometer doesn't work....that kinda explains itself, i'm thinking they are unrelated, but in case i'm wrong....

So what should i do? should i be worried? stop driving? pull some fuses?

1991 EF CIVIC DX, ZC DOHC, OBD-0 i think its PG7 ECU....i'd have to check again...ZC ECU.....

A code 17 is for a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor). Yours is mechanic, it's got some gears that sit in the tranny and a cable goes to the gauge cluster. Problem lies in there somewhere.

Not sure on the electronic load thing. Never encountered that one. Maybe someone w/ an FSM will chime in with a way to troubleshoot it.

I'm thinking my Speed Sensor Cable must have walked out of the tranny......just changed the clutch...

put your car on the charger. mine zc threw that code after it had sat for this winter and i hadn't started it for a while, system was turned on when it started. charged the battery, hasn't happened then. other than that, i don't know. i actually ran a search for it when it happened and didn't turn up much.. try it, it might work, if not, you got me
