Uhhhh k. So you turned your RS/LS into a ZXi, which was an even more base model is Japan? OK. Paint the valve cover.

huh? as in shorter or longer? i don't see what's wrong with using a b16/itr tranny for short gears or a ls tranny for long gears

twin turbo? do u know what you're talking about? lol

in all honesty, kudos to u for the job. there's nothing wrong with something different. but there's no replacement for displacement. sohc turbo would be my choice over n/a b-series too

1. Gas milage owns joo!!!!
2. D-series trans ratios are pretty sweet
3. Motor came from rolled EG that I owned, so it was free.
4. I got the DA shell for $400 bucks.
5. Turbo D's are much cooler than stock b18b's
6. I'm different than most on honda-tech...
7. I fabbed the mounts myself.
8. I accomplished something that the average "appearance/cosmetic" forum visitor cannot do
9. Must I go on guys...
10. More torque and hp than a stock LS motor, with a $200 turbo kit.HAHAHAHAHA

ok im done. Peace out

When I first heard about the swap I was kind of skeptical, a d series motor in a DA.. no good. The "Brokeback DA swap" is what called it, thinking doug would eventually break his back whilst pushing the car due to the lack of power... and because he was a gay cowboy at the time.
I was scared, I resorted to posting up opinionated and irrelevant comments in various threads on Honda-Tech. That was until I saw VTEC in his valve cover. It was if the car was touched by god himself. VTEC. It pulls like a snowboarder with a very good snowboard at a well conditioned snow boarding venue. FAST. VTEC. done

cmon guys. its not like he pulled out the b-series to put in a d. now that would be interesting. good job with the fabrication, and gl with the turbo. can't wait to see some numbers and track times.
