Question about an OBD-II ITR engine in an 88-91 CRX
I am getting ready to buy an Integra-R engine for my CRX.
However, the harness that is with the engine is from a 98 Civic EX.
Could I use this harness on my car?
I plan on converting from OBD-II to OBD-I with a jumper harness, so is there anything that I need to know about that may pose a problem with this 98 EX harness? I have always swapped pre-OBD engines in my car so this is just a little confusing to me.
Should I try to source an Integra R harness, or use the EX one?
Thanks for the help guys.

Dont use the integra or 98 civic harness..
Use your stock crx harness and convert it to obd1 and run a obd1 ecu...Then eliminate the crank sensor on the obd2 motor and consider it obd1..Thats what I would do atleast..

I say this over and over.....
"Keep the VEINS with the Body, doctor. You are only doing a HEART swap!"
( I should patent this line.....hehehe )

So to swap in an ITR engine, I'll need to buy:
* OBD-I conversion harness
* 90-91 axles w/ 90-91 int. shaft side tranny seal
Ryan... if the wiring gets ugly, I may have to bribe you to come over and help me with wires.

no dont buy an obd1 engine harness
convert your obd0 harness to obd2. which mean swapping over injector and distributor clips, unless you already ahve obd0 mpfi injectors on there then just the dist. and you dont hook up the crank sensor. a obd0 alt would be better so you dont have to mess with alt wiring. then buy a obd1 conversion and run it off a p28 chipped or have it tuned.
its not that hard, i have a obd2 ls motor in my hatch with my harness converted to obd2 where needed

Another option is to use a 1996-1997 JDM P73 ECU. Although this ECU uses OBDII plugs and an OBDII-style chipset, it runs like an OBDI ECU and is no more difficult to wire up than an OBDI ECU. There is no crankshaft speed fluctuation sensor or second oxygen sensor. Hell, there is no VTEC pressure switch or EVAP purge valve, either. And since few people want these ECUs, they can be had cheap. The REALLY nice thing about these ECUs is that they work GREAT right out of the box. The disadvantage? There are few tuning options available. But if you just want to get it up and running in fairly stock form, this is not a bad way to go.

I'm actually moving out of Cali this fall, to a backwoods area up north near Canada.
By the way, thank you to all of you guys who helped point me in the right direction, I really appreciate it. You'll def. be hearing more about this as it starts to unfold, I am a noobie w/ wiring and stuff.
