looky looky what I got - new Zapco DC amps inside
Well, the rebuild is on, so you know what that means, new gear!!!
So I figured I'd share what showed up today - a whole lot of Zapco. What we have here is a pair of the new DC series amps. For those of you who don't know, these amps include a fully digital processor on EACH amplifier channel! It eliminates any need for an outboard processor.
Each channel has:
10 Bands of parametric eq, hp/lp/bp x-over (with two different alignments), time alignement (measured in ms, mm, or in), and gain controls. The only thing this puppy is missing is phase control.
All of this is controlled by either a laptop, or Zapco's DRC - a 1/2 din controller. you can link up to 16 amplifiers at a time.
So I have two babies for the M3 - the 650.6 and the 750.2, so 8 channels of power
50x4 + 100x2 on the 650 and 750x1 for the 750 (benched to 803
)
These things are built like ABSOLUTE tanks, and the assembly quality is fantastic!! They weigh about 40 lbs for the pair - that's a serious heatsink!
Well, that's enough blabbing - obviously I'm excited - here's with the pics, and there are more here: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/rcurley55/my_photos

I don't want to break the 300.2 and 600.2, so if you are interested pm me and I can get you a price.
The arts are classics, so I wouldn't mind keeping them just for teh hell of it...
