I have a JG Edelbrock 65mm type r TB, any body knows why this TB doesn't open all the way? I have the stock b16 and it opens all the all but some how the jg doesn't. Any help would be great.

Did you check the difference when the throttle cable is connected and you hold the throttle wide open?

First, it looks like the cable isn't adjusted when the JG TB is bolted on, the cable looks loose, compared to the B16.

Will the JG TB open all the way by hand?

The JG, I adjust it the throttle cable just like the b16. Yes, the JG opens all the way by hand. It's like throttle cable don't pull it enough to open all the way.

Look in the b16 the butterfly bracket, it is at an angle and the JG is stright up. That's why it's not pulling it open all the way. Why is that??

looking at the pictures, your jg butterfly seem to look stuck at the intake manfold port...if you compare the b16 and jg insides...you will see that the jg butterfly looks bigger then the port. The b16 fits perfect though. Hope it helps.

you need to take the intake manifold off and have the manifold opening bored out to match the throttle body size.

the throttle plate is getting caught on the opening of the manifold.

The JG manifold is 65mm too, both of them are good.
I swap the throttle body butterfly bracket now it kinda works now it open like 80%,
I put the b16 on the JG it works better now but not all the way yet. Any way I can adjust the gas pedal? Or any other suggestions?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by mr_ek9 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Here's it is at full throttle

</TD></TR></TABLE>

the inside of that manifold can't be 65mm. you can clearly see the the "lip" of that manifold.......when the throttle body/plate opens its hitting that thing so it will not open all the way..
