You can drive it indefinitely without an alignment. But if you would like to have tire longevity, expect to get an alignment as soon as possible.

I was just driving my car and whenever i make a sharp turn i get this squeeking noise coming from the front. Its either the camber kit or the tire rubbing. What do you think? And is this a bad thing because the noise doesnt sound to good.

When your tire rubs the fender well, it sounds more like scuffing shoes on concrete than a squeaking, and it usually only happens when you have the wheel turned pretty far. The squeaking may be your struts. Sometimes the suspension squeaks on my car when it's cold outside, but you can tell the squeak only happens when the car is going up and down.

Just because you have a camber kit doesn't mean you should not get an alignment... it just means that when you get an alignment, the shop can do it properly.

I'd recommend to have it aligned ASAP.

But when i hit bumps and going straight theres no sqeeking only on turns. So i dont think its the struts. Plus they are brand new.

Well, then you should listen to Poison (he knows his ****) and go get it aligned. It's not very expensive, and I think you can get a lifetime warranty on alignments at Sears.

Why don't you go out and check if the inner part of the tire hits the fender well when you turn the wheel lock to lock while the car's parked. That should give you an easy answer to the tire rub question.

Theres about an inch seperation. Its not dropped that much. I did turn the wheel both ways and it has good clearance.

Yeah, dude... Judging by that picture, I bet you are rubbing on the side opposing the direction of the turn. 205's on 16s should be ok as far as the inner fenderwell is concerned.

Do you or your friends have any smaller tire/wheel combos that you could test out to see if the squeak's coming from suspension components or the tire on metal? Does the squeak come from both sides when turning or just one side? Have you tried wiggling suspension stuff to see if anything's loose?

When you go get it aligned tomorrow, you can probably get the technician to tell you if anything's amiss.

It sounds like it is only coming from the front left. Which is the pic you see. Ill ask the tech tomorrow to check it out for me.

If you just drop your car you don't really need a alignment right now but don't put to much miles on it if you don't align it. but if you put camber kit with it you will need a alignment soon as posible because your toe and stuff like that is wrong and it will eat your tire like buffet. That why when you turn it sqeeking because the camber is so off so it eating your tire. Get a alignment right away .

Sears Alignments: $64.99, 6 month/6,000 mile warranty. If you add new suspension parts afterwords yourself it will void the warranty. The Tech III will take the car for a test drive to get a feel where to start. He should hear it rubbing/squeaking and will pull it in on the alignment rack. He will do a "Front End" eval and will document anything he immediatly finds. You can watch him, they usually dont mind. Dont act like you know more than he does, but dont act like you have never worked on a car. Ask him he will set your Toe to 0 degrees. While talkin to him ask him what he thinks about that noise. Working at Sears I have fun with this all the time.

I doubt it will fix the squeaking unless the alignment is so bad its putting to much pressure on the suspension. He should be able to tell you what the problem is. It is pretty low, did you use OEM shocks or what did you use. If he cant find anything right off the bad he will tell you the shock is making noise. If you say its the OEM shock its very possible its screaming at you.

No they are omni full coilovers, i just installed them. It could be that the tire is rubbing the fender when i make a turn.
