OBD2a to OBD1 ECU Conversion Harness 1998 GSR and more Problems
I have 1998 Acura GSR that i just got and I am about to swap my OBD2a to OBD1 ECU, and my question is do i have to change my Distributor to OBD1?
I also have a Check Engine, and the kid told me that the 2nd O2 sensor is not connected and i did look underneath the car and is not there. Would this problem will eliminate my check engine to go away? just by swaping to OBD1
and sometimes the way the car idles is between 1000 and drop to 300rpm.....
thanks

You don't have to change the distributor since you're not changing any part of the engine harness. You're just using a conversion harness to use the ECU. You'll be fine.
Yes, when you convert to OBD2 you don't need the secondary O2 sensor since it's not being used anymore.

I have a obd2 ls motor i swapped to obd1. yes the idle gets a little weird sometimes, but its all good. I have a phearable.net ecu and love it. No o2 sensors, eliminated most other sensors i dont need. No cel at all, granted now my obd2 car is illegal with obd1.
