Make sure there is atleast an inch between the bumper and the exhaust. Cut the bumper if necesary.

I had this problem, just stick 2 pvc pipe (1/2 i think?) into the rubber hanger holding the muffler and that fixed the problem... This might require some assistance though, I'll get pics later this week

happens to most people with a big canister tip. just go to an exhaust shop and have them tuck it in and lower it a bit.

Is the exhaust specifically for your car or is it from another model? Has it been modified at all? Is it the full catback exhaust or just a tip you modified?

From my experience with aftermarket exhausts and especially the n1 is that they fit almost perfectly with space from the bumper.

carbon fiber heatshield? Tell me what good fiberglass is gonna do as an insulator. Ceramic would have been a better idea.

Rivets, bolts & nuts...zip-ties . Seriously thou, i'd used small bolts with nylon lock nuts. that way you can change out the sheet metal if you need to and not worry about messing with rivets. Also try searching in the FI forum for pictures of guys with bumper dump tube exits for external wastegates, probably be able to see from picture what they used to mount em

after it has melted for awhile, pull the muffler back down and take a whiz wheel to the bumper where it melted. this will clean it up and it won't have a big chunk of melted bumper on it
