Default How much have you invested??

Just wondering how much people have spent on their cars. I'm guessing alot, but I'm thinking of building an EK and so I'm trying to get a general idea of how much I should expect to spend. Please post important mods, pics, or whatever as well. Thanks.

There is a thread around on here somewhere asking the same thing, If you search for it you'll get a lot more information quicker. But I cant remember much about it other then it exists so in that sense Im not much help.

But to answer your question, Ive invested about 5-6k in my car now and Im still not satisfied with it. This summer begines my interior restoration, soon its going to get to the point I dont want to drive it because its so clean. ohhh and I stole the car for 4k with 60k miles on it at the time. Check out my sig for pics if you want.

Soap: $10
Summer tires: $140
Oil and filters: $150
Winter tires: $150
Gas: $4000

Having a car that takes you from point A to point B for 50 000km: priceless (well actually it's more like $4450....lol)

It's probably good to note that whatever money you put into the car will not add value to that car when you come to sell it. It might take away some value (i.e. body kits)

Also lots of bling may attracted unwanted attention (theives & cops)

But in the end.....it's your car and your money.

I just bought my honda and im afraid of how much money im throwing into it. Its not much yet but i dont plan on keeping track. Its a honda its not going to be worth anything when im done. Im scared to know what im going to spend because a car is never done. theres always something that can be improved and made better,

QFT! After seeing all of you guys pouring money into the car, it hit me that I better just put downpayment on a IS300 or something... but then again, the modding will prob start from there... Hmmm... better just start taking the bus .

Really though, you guys must have some sick cars... Since I already have an Si front, and some other exterior pieces, I only need a swap and some interior work. I'll hopefully spend around 5g's .

i'd say your going to spend around 10k when you get done with it. i got halfway through with one car and spent about 5k....down the drain.....now about another 5k and at the same point i was with the other car.

Investing is the wrong word to use when it comes to cars, unless your restoring a muscle car.

So, I fixed that for you:
