4th gen recalls?

are there any recalls on the 4th gens? i knwo they are old but i read a post the other day about the shifterfork was recalled. i searched and got 1 thing about 5th gens. any sites that have info? anything would be helpfull-jeff

There was a recall on the balance shaft.

yea just the seal popping out..most have been fixed..just check inside ur timing cover real quick..look for a golden fork bolted in front of the seal

yeah, my front balance shaft oil seal just backed itself out...the recall ended on Jan 1st, 2003 (******* Honda) and I didn't know about it. So instead of spending an afternoon putting a retaining clip in, I spent three days replacing a bunch of other oil-soaked parts.

sorry about the threadjack...just wanted to make sure you know how important that service bulletin is
