I'm working on a 90 CRX HF with a d16a6 swap in it. Car ran before the swap but after the swap it hasn't ran due to this code.
The car will crank all day (gets fuel).
But won't fire up. I tested out everything per Helms. Well it says to replace the ignitor and/or repair the white wire from b17/b18 to the Dizzy.
What wire is this? is it the green/yellow?
if so can I just make a wire that goes from the ecu to the dizzy? or does it pass through another circuit?
I've followed the diagram and it apears that it doesn't.
New Dizzy, and good ecu so its not those. Its gotta be the wire!!

does it have the Si engine harness on it? - you should be using the HF harness - the wire you refer to goes thru the passenger side harness connector on the Si, but goes thru the driver side connector on the HF - if you have the Si harness, the wire isn't connected to ECU - it is a white wire

As far as I am aware it is a stock HF car with a d16a6 swap in it.
You are saying the dizzy pinout is different? So the Si dizzy can't just be put in that the HF dizzy has different pinouts?
Thanks.

not the distributor - si and HF are the same - the problem is that the engine harnesses are not interchangeable - if it has the Si harness on it, the igniter wire is going to the passenger side connector and the HF cabin harness has the matching wire (that it needs to connect to) on the driver's side, so you don't have igniter connected to ECU - even if you get that corrected, the injector wires in the driver's side connector don't match from the Si engine harness to the HF cabin harness - wires are in different locations

Wow just did quite a few tests today. My guess is it has a Si harness on it. I"ll hit up a junkyard tomorrow. Probably cost me a grip but I'll have it on the road at least.
Thanks for the help. Oh yeah how do you find the pinouts for the different connectors (such as the shock towers)??
