4 to 5 bolt hub conversion
I'd like to switch from a 4bolt to 5bolt hub on my 4th Gen. I'm gathering it's possible to use the 5th gen's hubs, but what else is there to do? Has anyone done it here that can help me out?
Thanks!
Thanks!
There is some very good information about this on preludeonline.com, although you have to pay to be a member of that site. Basically, with all the necessary parts bought secondhand or pulled from junkyards, expect to pay about $1000, which includes 5th gen wheels.
I'll have somone check the info for me. The reason I'd like this performed is because all the nice rims out there are 5-bolt (buddy club, volk, etc...). Damn 5th gens have the advantage there
you should look into just having the 5th gen bearings/hubs in the front pressed in, and replacing the rear hubs on your 4th to 5th gen hubs. then you can have brand new rotors, and if you have vtec calipers you can use that. that being said, i have a set of spare 4th gen knuckles i can sell you cheap to help the cause
