Default 90 accord header gains?

Does anyone with a 90-93 accord have an aftermarket header installed? i have talked to a few people and they seem to think that our stock ones are just as good as the aftermarket ones. If anyone has any and noticed either an improvement or a downside to the header please let me know.

Congratulations. You are one of the few people that know it's a "header" and not "headers." Gains depend on your model. The EX already has a decent 4-2-1 design and gains are negligible. The LX/DX have a crappy manifold and gains are more significant. Either way, a header doesn't do too terribly much besides look good.

As far as I know a factor tuned headder is the best you can get, and that is what is on the 4gen EX and is one of the better things about it than the LX/DX. So if there were a gain you would more than likely see more of it on the LX/DX than the EX.

P.S. You may know this but some people have leaks when installing a new headder one one way around this is to warm the engine let it cool and check the mounting bolts and retorque them.

Well if it's a '92 or '93 EX, it's going to have an F22A6 with 140 HP. If it's a '90 or '91 EX it's gonna have an F22A2 or something with 130 HP. The '90-'93 DX and LX have the F22A1 with 125 HP.

SOHC 4 in-line transverse, 85.0 mm x 95.0 mm bore and stroke (2,156 cc), 8.8:1 compression.

F22A4 I think.

As for the DC Sports header on my car, my *** dyno says .

The amount of power a header will yield is also dependent on other mods that you have. If your like me, and have an intake, and a header, while keeping stock cat and cat-back, after the header, there is a bottle-neck. After getting a highflow cat and cat-back, I expect to see gains that are higher than those expected from just a high flow cat and catback.

A lot of people claim they can "feel" octance booster. Most peoples butt dynos are way off, and their mind tricks them into feeling things. Most bolt-ons you will not feel anything with. Unless of course you have a very sensitive ***.

Your right to an extent. But before, I could not spin my wheels, I could with the header on. I know a header doesnt do much for low end, but I think that is absolute proof that it does do something.

I had an intake ,header and an aftermarket muffler (I was told the factory midpipe was very good to begin with). It made a nice difference in sound and high end power.I reccomend it
BTW mine was a '90 EX.
