Default Sparco hub problem

Hi guys,

Basically i removed the main nut from the sparco steering wheel hub adapter from my '98 Integra RS and i still can't remove the hub. (I'm trying to put my stock steering wheel back on.) I've lubricated the spline with liquid wrench (front and back), tapped it with a hammer in multiple locations, and yanked as hard as i possibly can to pull it off. Why would it be stuck? Should i go with a propane tank to heat it up next?

i posted in the tech forum, but i figured i'd post it in here since most of you have these.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

You overtightened the nut. Just keep wiggling the wheel back and forth from side to side, it will come off EVENTUALLY.

Some gently and carefully placed propane torch heat should get it off no problem. Or you could go buy a steering wheel puller.

I had this problem once. I remember taking the nut off, putting the stearing wheel back on and pulling like crazy. I think I even used my legs against the dash. Anyway, it came off but I almost had a broken nose from it.
