Default Auxilary Input Adapter

I have a 2000 Civic SI with the stock unit and wanted to know where I get a good and Cheap PriceAuxilary Input Adapter to hook up an MP3 player.

All I found was ones for 92-98 Civics and 92-01 Integras.

Do you know what the what type of PIN is on the back of the stock headunits too?

Usually by the time you pay for a good aux adapter for an oem unit , they aren't cheap

So they are not all created equal? What makes the difference?

Same with anything - you get what you pay for. I'm gonna guess that if you find a good company that makes one (peripheral for example) it's probably gonna be > $100, and at that stage you may as well buy a new radio.

I can relate to that. The depends on what you want to do. If you wish to keep the stock look you can get something logjam electronics that might work. But the units are about USD 100 and you can get a aftermarket head unit from Crutchfield for about that much as well.

In my situation, I have a 2006 accord and all I wanted was to hook up my satellite radio up so I got a SNHOND3 to hook into the system. It cost about USD 100.

Well are there any other ways to hook up an MP3 player from it's headphone jack to the stock HU?

I wouldn't do a wireless FM modulator

But which would give better sound output... A Wired FM modulator or a cheaper Aux Adapter?

Well, then you should have specified that when you asked "Well are there any other ways to hook up an MP3 player from it's headphone jack to the stock HU? "

If you're too cheap to buy the aux input adapter, then there aren't many options other than a wired modulator... Which won't sound nearly as good as the real deal...
