don't know if it belongs here...I just need you guys suggestions...

I have Big O' Tires installed falkens on my rims and of course, they scratched/dint all of them. All of them have "teeth" marks from the machine. They were perfect when I bought them in. They can't fix it and doesn't seem like they'll repowder coat them (they said it'll cost them $200each wheel to powdercoat)...they're will to give me discount on NEXT purschase, alignment...etc..which doesn't help me cause I don't know if I'm going back to them...what are you guys suggestions. What should I say to the manager when I meet with him later....

 

tell them to fix them or replace them. they should have liability insurance that covers their F ups.

 

Man, this is the big issue of the day for me. I am tossing around several ideas. One, purchase a used set of the same wheels and tires with 1200 miles on them from a friend with a Yellow R, then take mine which are all scratched for the same reason as yours and have them refinished, then put my snow tires on one set and hopefully never have to use a tire mounter again on these wheels. Two, keep mine and put snows on them, never fix them, and buy a new set of Volk's or JDM 16's and say the hell with it, or three just get some heavy aftermarket wheel and sob. I called my Acura dealer, and they can kma because apparently they don't change tires on Type R wheels. WTF???? Good luck in your endeavours.....I feel your pain.

 

how hard is it to mount them without scratching them
they do this all day long and have to f-ed up mine...what a friday?!

 

-Option 4, buy 373R's 16" volks, so he can get 15" spoons!

 

Make a claim with your insurance company and let them chase the tire shop...
