Default Need help with a 91' EX sedan problem

I have a 91' EX Sedan that has been great to me over the past 4 yrs. But I have run into some trouble that I cannot figure out. I have a D16A6 engine w/Y8 head and a L4 auto tranny, which will be changed out later, but for now I need to leave the L4 alone.
I have been having shuttering problems half way through first gear and hard shifting between all gears. I have so far listened to mechanics and garage tuners and changed the tranny, calibrated the linkage and changed out my CV axles. I have also checked out my ECU and it is in tip top shape. I don't have the kind of money to be wasting, like I have been, but I really want to keep the car. I can't take it to a shop because of the money constraint as well. I am new to the import tuning and will hopefully make a really nice sleeper out of this car, but for now I just need to have it drivable.

If anyone can give me any sort of insight to what the problem might be, It would be greatly appreciated.

No that's okay. I just replaced the tranny. I think that it might be my torque converter. I talked with a guy that's works on honda's all the time and he said that's prolly ny problem.

No thanks efnewb91 I really like this car and I want to keep it. It's my first car that I can do whatever I want to it because I own it.
But any way, sorry, but no sale.

H-T as a whole doesn't know much about automatic transmissions

Interesting setup though.....good luck.

Is ths huddering only at partial throttle? If you mash it does it run smoothly? the reason I ask is that my dx (sohc zc with auto) will jump around at partial throttle and has hard shifts. I also believe it to be the TC as I used the one that came withthe ZC and not the original one I had and I didnt have the problem before.

It does the shuddering at all throttles, unless, I have let the car sit for a few days. Then it has no problem for at least an hour. I don't know. I'm just gonna send it some place and pay the outrageous price.
