1991 Accord Wierd Missing Problem
I am the original owner of a 1991 Accord LX with approx 150k. Have had no major problems. Have replaced timing belt at man. recommended intervals, usually runs great. However, now after about 15-20 min of running the engine developes a miss in the 30-35mph range, and 2.5k rpm's. Have replaced dist cap and rotor, wires seem to be OK. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
you aint gonna like this...Your EGR most likely needs to be cleaned and here is how you do it in a nutshell:
1. Remove fuel rail after releiving fuel pressure by opening the gas cap and pulling the fuse for the fuel pump and try to start the car severa times
2. You have to drill out the access plate rivits
3. Using carb/throttlebody cleaner, soak that access cover really good
4. Do the same for the EGR valve
5. Using a pipe cleaner, clean out the egr passages in the intake (you will see the holes in the below diagram)

see #33 and #31? look straight down. You will see the 5 holes between #31 and #33? that is what you gotta clean
EGR valv is upper right
