Default Wiring differences in 88 and 91 dx

ok I got an 88 dx shell, had a turboed b16 in it so the wiring harness is really hacked (kid actually did a nice job with it though to the previos owner) but I am swapping in a 91 dx dpfi motor...I was tryin to fix the wiring harness back to dpfi but the only thing I had to compare it to was my 91 harness and the colors/pins just weren't matching up so I am just gonna put the whole interior wiring harness from the 91 in the 88...I have noticed some small differences already but my main one is the 91 has 6 wires going into the door while the 88 only has two...can I just use the 88 plug and match up the two wires that were on the 88 (one red one black) or will this not work and is a bad idea and I should just stop right now and try and fix the 88 harness?

not really going to help ur wiring issue...

but why do you want to wire the bay back to dpfi? most people CANNOT wait to upgrade to mpfi (1 including me) unless ur going the economical/gas milage route then i dont know why ud wanna switch back to 2 fuel injectors.

Spend 200$ and get a D16A6. Plug and play and it will have 16 more horses under the hood.

why dont you just reverse the mpfi wiring changes? It wont be hard to put a dpfi harness in the bay and return the pins at the ecu to stock ....

you don't have to change the interior wiring harness. like the said, just reverse the changes made to make it mpfi and that should do it. try to locate a dpfi-mpfi diagram and go from there, there shouldn't be to many wires to change back. I don't have any diagrams handy otherwise I maybe able to walk you through it.
