FS:1992 Honda Prelude SI - Automatic (H23A) 220K Miles - South NJ
1992 Honda Prelude SI
Red Exterior / 220K Miles / NJ Inspected
This is my Girlfriend's car, and she became the 2nd owner around 150K. Comuter car mostly, for Ryder University and work, we use my Civic for all other driving. She has owned the car for a good 4 or 5 years, and has kept it up as best as possible.
The paint was fading when bought, we've waxed it pelnty of times and nothing does the trick, needs a little TLC.
The Interior is incredible, its practically brand new, have to see it to believe it! Interior is Black/Grey & like i said is MINT. Inside has a Sony CD Receiver & CD Changer in rear console. Also front & rear speakers were replaced recently with either sony/mb quarts up front and blaupunkts in back. Otherwise vehicle is stock, a virgin, and unmolested.
The Engine, suspension, & drivetrain have been great, oil changes every 3K miles, 6 months ago she had a timing belt done, coolant flush, along with a tune up that consisted of the usual; plugs, wires, cap & rotor, fuel filter, oil change & filter. The upper left control arm ball joint was going so the enitre control arm was replaced about 2 months ago.
Now being out of College for 1 & 1/2 yrs, and landing her 2nd career job. She'd like to get a new car, and was decided to sell it sometime soon. Well, now is that time.... the car has been burning oil & loosing coolant recently and there is absolutely no drips/leaks. Being that this is the problem, the car is going to need a head gasket really soon. Other than that the car is absolutely perfect.
If you looking for a project car to drop your H22 into or build up the H23 and turbo it! its up to you. This is a pretty simple job, exspecially if your an avid honda/japanese car enthusiast as i am. Or if you're a mechanic lookin for an easy fix and resale, or your looking for a great comuter/2nd vehicle. Whatever the reason is, its a really nice car that she loved, and plans on getting another one! Just Newer (2001).
I've always told her i'de keep it/buy it when the time came, but anyone that knows me can tell you i'm upset about selling this car and like it alot myself but the car couldn't of beeing sold at a worse time for me! As i just am making my transition from Honda to Toyota this week.
