What are some good recommended brands of wheels for the US market?
i apologize:
bogart
ssc performance
z racing
american racing
axis
panasport
fikse
in all honesty, there is no such thing as a "usdm" wheel. "usdm" is what we consider rice. so uhhh have fun driving a car that was "tuned by autozone."

No such thing? There are tons of companies located in the United States that manufacture rims. Not all are 'rice' and of bad quality. However, I can tell you that some of the ones you mentioned aren't the best quality. US companies do manufacture forged rims you know, not just Japanese companies.

No such thing as the all-knowing forum. But this is probably one of forums with the least amount of immaturity and flaming.
Anyways, to your question:
What do you define as "good"
Are you talking about flat out perfomance, durability, or cost? Most people buy wheels for looks. Any manufacturer will probably have different levels of wheels with associated cost and refinement. Right now I have steelies, I consider them "good" because they are cheap and have yet to fall apart. It satisfies my needs. What are your needs for these rims? Will they be for high stress applications such as auto-x? At a certain point a rim is just a rim. Hell, they are probably all made in Taiwan or China anyways...lol. I am not trying to flame, just trying to help.
Cheers.
