Default Project Boosted EF: The Journey to 400+ whp (warning: lots of pics)

EDIT (APRIL 24/06) , even more pics on page 3

EDIT: More pics on PAGE 2 and 3

Well, last year, my set up consisted of a RevHard kit and at 18-19 psi made: 334 whp / 242 ft lbs tq. Nonetheless, my tuner blew the engine on the dyno due to too much timing. So far, the equation is: Timing > me ... Carnage pics:

Car has been sitting since August so I thought it's time to take it out of storage.

Up my car goes on the hoist

JDM YO!!

Engine almost out, yes, im pissed, i mean really pissed....GRRRR:

Bye Bye old engine:

Bye Bye crossmember:

Hello Full-Race traction bars

Stupid radiator bracket is in the way

Happy cutting

F*CK YOU BRACKET!!!

Nicely shaven, the way I like it

Aeromotive Fuel pump setup:

Didn't manage to mount the traction bars as of yet since the original owner took off the tow hooks and I need the stock tow hook bolts to mount the traction bar.

Here's what's going in for this summer:
Benson Sleeved 84mm LS Block
84mm Wiseco Pistons
Eagle 3/8" Rods
CR-Fab Manifold

And here's a big great "fawk you" from my dad

more to come as more progress happens

looks to me with the parts you are using you should be atleast in the 500+ range witha sleeved block, forged internals ect.

and friend of mine 'spoolinmatt' on this board made 515 on a ls/vtec w/ sc-61 and full race style manifold, forged internals, blah blah blah.

good luck on your build man. lets see 550+!!!!

also what are you tuning with

Turbo is a T3/60-1 with an upgraded S compressor housing. Garrett's site says its good to 575hp so around 500 whp I'm assuming. It's mainly a street car, I wanna have fun on the street and with 550whp, I'm gonna be roasting the tires on the street lol...

Also, I am tuning with uberdata!! hurray for uber

awesome uber is the ****.

my buddy was making like 450 on pump gas and 515 with high octane race gas. but still you wont find much on the street to run with you at 400+ in a light honda.

I wish.... it was a stock sleeved block but had CP pistons and Eagle rods. Oh well, I guess thats the risk with tuning.

Previous owner I bought it from said it was a Mugen rear bumper.

And here is a video of it from last year when it blew on the dyno
