How long do stock tires last?
I have 11k miles on mine and they are still fine.
Probably not for long though because of auto-x's coming up.
B2 - who can't wait for his s-03s.

21K? Dang. Acura's recommended miles are way off. My tires till look decent though I drive too conservative for my own good. i have 4 S0-3s sitting in my garage and they're itching to feel hot asphalt. but my tires still look pretty good. gotta wait then.

The firs car went through the tires at ~8000 miles, the second car was ~12,000. This was without any racing with the tires...it's all because of the wonderful twisty roads that I drive.

i got a nail in one tire at 800 miles, so at 1k i had a new set of tires already, now i have about 32k on the car and am on my3rd set of tires, i drive hard, so i only expect 10k out of a tire.
Just pulled up on 23K. I'm getting it inspected on Monday, Dealer said last week that they will still pass. I'm planning on new ones soon though. I'm getting some wear on the inside edge of all 4 tires. Car is at stock height and stock alignment. Mostly highway driving.
First Set of RE010s - 18k (past the wear bars)
Second Set of RE010s - 10k (showing belts on both front, despite rotation every 2k)
First Set of RE730s - 17k and still going strong...
I don't know about the rest of you, but I drive this car harder and harder with each passing month. Considering I got 44% less milage out of the second set, I figure the relative treadwear rating of the RE730s must be more than double RE010s. I bought them right before the S-03s came out in 205/50ZR15 or I would have bought those...

I got just under 30k miles on my RE010s and that included 2 or 3 driving school and a few autocrosses as well. They werent even corded when I got rid of them..probably had another 2k left in them. My secret was a combination of VERY frequent rotations (every 1500 miles or so), always making sure the pressure was correct, and some good luck.

My understanding is that this started with the NSX, which apparently liked to use up its specially designed, four unique part number, tires very quickly (were the originals also RE010?) -- a characteristic some NSX owners apparently had the nerve to complain about!
The sticker on the 2002 NSX I saw the other day said the tread life might be significantly less than 10,000 miles (my ITR said 15k if I recall).I don't know if any of that NSX story is true, but it seems credible and I like it anyway.

i had to replace my fronts at about 10k -but this was after 2 HPDEs and really the 2nd HPDE is what did them in- they were really chunked on the outside.
the 2 i had on the rears are still OK now at 18k but they're pretty bald- but no corded which is good enough fro me

my fronts had the cords showing on the inner edge of both front tires at about 12,000 miles. now that i think about it, i should probably rotate my kumhos pretty soon...
Thanks guys for all the replies. It sounds like the stock tires can vary btwn +/- 5 or 7K to +/- 20s. Lots of variation. I suspected a wide range and this confirmed it.
