Default Gas/No Gas Welder

I have currently have this welder from HF. http://www.harborfreight.com/c...44567

Can I add a gas hookup to that or will I need a better welder to start with? I'm planning on welding a cage together and I know the welds from that will not be nearly strong enough.

Buy a different welder if you're doing a cage. Preferably a 220v MIG if you are doing mild, if you're doing a chromoly cage you'll need to buy a TIG.

This would be my recommendation.

This is also a decent welder.

Will it work, yes. Would I use it for a cage? No.

just remember you get what you pay for i would rather initially spend more money especially if its something as critical as a cage
