they are about the same price

both 6 spd

give me some advice

I don't think they are in the same price range because my dad has one. Here's what it added up to:

+1000 metallic paint
+1000 color choice
Bose system, auto sense wipers, leather seats
and some other small stuff I forgot and it totalled to 33k.

Fully loaded it can cost up to 40k.

 

MONEY IS NOT THE ISSUE

drive and daily enjoyment is the question.

you say the c230 totalled 33 ( the one i have set up will be 25,700.oo plus tax's)
the rsx-s totals 25 ->26


bring on the advice.....

 

if money is no object why would you want either one?

 

I've never driven the Merc, but the RWD is attractive. And I'll bet you can shoehorn M-B's V6 under the hood. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see an AMG version sometime in the near future, possibly with a supercharged V6. Of course, that won't be cheap, but it would be fun.

 

If a C-coupe comes to the states with an AMG option that includes motor upgrades; that WILL be my next car. RWD!!! Plus I'm a touch worn out on Honda products-mainly because they perfected affordable interior design in the mid 80's and now all they can do is change the colors and textures.*yawn*

Well, if money was no issue I would take the c-coupe hands down.

that's the issue. go do so (if you can find a c230 with a 6 speed at a dealer - my gf couldn't when she was looking) and then you'll know. it is a very different car.

oh yeah, the fabric on the seats : BUTT.

 

Yeah it's weird; that seat fabric would be right at home in a base model Toyota Tercel. From the late 80's.

so i drove the c230.... it is nice. Fun easy drive, smooth shifts. Torque!!!!!! and ididnt even get on it yet

23000.00....rsx never got to drive it yet... i have sat in one but im looking for a car that wont have me wanting more power

i have a miata that might go rotary for that......already turbo'd w/ a standalone system.

If you like to mod cars, get the RSX. I'm sure that there will be many more upgrades (performance and cosmetic) available for the RSX than the benz. I see Benz' as old men's cars...but that's just me.

 

The benz is nice, but its a baby *** benz, you arent going to get respect out of that if thats what you are looking for. they remind me of a the bmw hatch, its a bmw but barely. i feel like with that little car you are trying to say, yeah i have the money for a benz....anyways my mom has a clk cabriolet (not the two seater slk, this is the four seater) and i love to drive it, however, the german engineering is quite different from the japanese im used to. if you are trying to go for the luxury car, for that price, the 3 series bmw is nice (to me the hatch is ugly), wait until you can afford a real benz, they dont deal on the prices of mercedes...my dad has never paid sticker price for a car, less alone a $57,000 car, id go for the rsx-s cheaper, and in my opinion more room for mod's

 

Hey, tercel seat fabric is plenty worse. I've had an '87 and a '94... same fabric but very different from honda/acura fabric. Tercel BS is like poly weaved burlap style. Honda is somewhat like carpet... fibers standing up on fabric. They're both **** but different grades of ****.

i must be a newbie or something but isn't the CLK or SLK supercharged? factory i mean...

i bump my price range up 1000 and its mass confusion!!!!!!!!!!

 

The rear body styling of the c-coupe takes some getting used to... But the interior is sweet...

now i am just going to get a luxury with the Teg...

same price and it has a cd player.... if i got the benzo i would have had to buy a changer from MB for 1100 f' that ( had the plan of going cd/dvd, better deal)

 

Whew, if I could afford that, it would be mine in a heartbeat! The G35 coupe is one sweet car.
