Default d15z1 head on d15b2 block

hey guys i was wondering if a d15z1 vtec-e head will work on a d15b2 block with out anything needing to be done? trying to bid on one on ebay. thanks

Haha, did you win the head? My friend was selling it! Anyway, it'll work, you'll get crazy high compression though, 12.3:1.

I dont know how the D15z1 heads are but Im assuming you'll have to remove the little oil jet on the d15b2 block like anyother mini-me if you plan to have VTEC..

I'm not crazy, both my friend and I were planning this until we used a compression calculator to figure this out. The z1 has hugely dished pistons to make up for the z1's extremely small quench area.

Prolly, I haven't done it for a few months I just remembered 12.3 or 12.5 because it was so high, thanks for the correction.
