Default Raxels Question

i bought something that was supposed to be raxels for 90 crx si with cable b16 swap. i tryed to put them in today and they were about 1inch shorter than my stock axels. this is what is written on the axels driver: BL 9 37429, Pass: 37429, also they are about same thickness. does anyone know what these axels are for? or if they are even raxels?
thanks

When you say the raxles where shorter than your "stock" axles, what stock axles do you have??? I don't know if the numbers you posted will be any help or not cause they could be aftermarket (Napa, AZ, Advance, etc.) axles and the numbers that are on them are not for application reasons meaning if you try to look them up with that number you won't get anywhere. explain what you mean by shorter, what axles are you comparing them too?? are they both shorter?? give some more specific info and I'll see if I can help more.

basicly the passanger side axel that is on the car right now is longer about an inch than the raxel i have. these raxels were supposedly on a b16 crx same year as mine and worked fine. im looking into swapping the ends where the splenes are from mine to the raxels because mine are longer. hopefully this will work

Axle lengths are different depending on the 1/2 shaft you have, SiR axles are different sizez than DA axles so that may be your only issue (mentioned in the link I posted earlier) I am curiuos why you are changing axles??

i realize that axel lengths are different on the driver side, but when i put in the passanger side raxel it was shorter. im changing because when i start in first gear and turn left, something clicks, and im almost positive its the axel

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by tpod &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">i realize that axel lengths are different on the driver side, but when i put in the passanger side raxel it was shorter. im changing because when i start in first gear and turn left, something clicks, and im almost positive its the axel</TD></TR></TABLE>

Why not just rebuild the joint??? if it just started clicking then you should be good to go, that way you don't have to worry about replacing thhe entire axle? All you really need to do it knock the joint off the axle and repack it with grease real well, slap a new boot on it and be done!

Again like I said before you probably have axles that require a different midshaft to make them work, it is even possible your pass side is not your actual pass. side by for the driver side since they could both be male ends (some driver side axles are female on the inner joint depending on midshaft). Alot of shops (Honda anyway) have books that give all the measurements of OEM axles and that is the one true way to tell what you got going on. This is more useful if your running USDM axles though since most of these books don't cover JDM parts, I am using DA axles in my REX since I have a DA midshaft. You need to measure your midshaft and then measure your axles from end to end (make sure the inner joint is all the way pushed in to get an accurate measurement) and after you have all your measurements you can use the search function here to find what parts are what. I had issues with my axles when first doing my B16 swap and had to do the same thing, that's how I found out all these differences. Trust me the search function will show you everything you need once your numbers are in line, it's just going to take some time
