Default So I've got this caliper problem

Yeah it's called IT WON'T ******* COME OFF. Ok so I got the one pad off just fine and cleaned my pistons and what not with Simple Green yadda yadda and one piston goes in but the smaller one won't push back in. That's problem number one. Problem number two is that the fixed pad is held on by the two little pins you see here and one would think they push in. They don't.

Anyone know how to get it off?? This sucks, this is the only thing keeping me from riding. If you guys want a diagram I can scrounge one up. Thanks guys.

You will have to use a C-clamp or a big *** channel locks to get it back in. You will not get in it by hand

You can slip in an old brake pad or similarly slim piece of wood, then press against it using a screwdriver to force the piston in.

Or, drain the brake fluid and press the piston in, then refill it.

Do you have a service manual?

I tried using a C-clamp already, it didn't work.

I've tried pressing it back in using the old brake pad but I'll try again. And by drain it you mean bleed it dry and then try pressing it in??? And no I don't have a service manual, just 101 Sportbike Performance Projects.

one some cars and bikes you have to twist the piston as you push in other wise it will not go in. I had the same problem a while back and it had me stumped. I even went out and bought the manual and the noticed that you have to twist as you push.
