L3-2126927 ZC Tranny In a Civic HB, Few Questions
I'm trying to figure out which axle seal to use? integra/crx/civic?
I'm Assuming i use Integra Axles for replacements.
Appreciate the info.

90-93 only came with a b18, 87-89 came with a b18 or a d16a1 witch is a usdm zc, they have milder cams and lower compression i belive
the tranny you posted in the pic is a hydro tranny. You see the speed sensor, its electric. And there is hard lines where the cable usually goes. But for axles, i used the 90-91 axels. You got the intermediate shaft?

Here is a write up on using the Hydro ZC tranny. You need "custom" axles made from 2 sets of Honda axles. Read the write up, good info;

You believe? Come on...spreading half *** info is not cool.
1. The 90-91 only came with B18a1. The 92-93 had both the B17a1 and the B18a1.
2. The 86-87 came with a vacuum advanced D16a1(9.3 CR and 113hp). The 88-89 came with an electronic advance D16a1(9.5 and 118hp).
Neither is a usdm ZC. While it shares some parts and similarities, its a completely different engine. It doesn't even bolt into CRXs/Civics like a ZC does.
3. The cams can't even be directly compared. The compression ratio of a B18a1 is actually less than both versions of the D16a1 at 9.2.
I'm not even going to touch the question as to what axles to use because it looks like we're talking about a hydro ZC tranny.
If it was a cable ZC, the correct axles to use are the 90-93 Integra (nonABS). Not the "87-89".

yeah i have the intermediate shaft, it looks like i'll be using 91 integra cv shafts. honestly i put the picture there so that more people would read the thread and post lol....
this thread is exactly why i'll never have a ZC transmission in any car i own.
why you ask? because 14 different people have posted 15 different axles that are "right"
having an intermidiate shaft and equal length axles would be great, but its not worth the hassle.

That is wrong. Use 90-91 integra axles, I had this set-up and it worked fine.
