Default Please help: transmission related...

Hey Guys, I'm a newbie in this forum...
This is what's been happening...I have a 1997 Honda Accord 4cyl automatic.
A feew days ago I was driving down the road and started having this problem:

when I hit the gas, the car wuold cut the rpms at around 3,000, like if ou leave the gear in neutral, but it was in gear. and the car wouldn't go...It would change gears slowly or not change at all. The Check Engine Light came on:

P1361
P0740
P0715

these are the 3 codes...I know the first one is the TDC sensor..
Here's my question: could the TDC sensor have caused this?
the car has 120K miles...the tranny's fluid is fine.

then I took it to a mechanic and he was doing a diagnostic and touched something like a sensor or something and then the car would only go on reverse and not foward anymore. You could leave it in gear and give it full gas and it won't move.
could he have touched something that turned the tranny down?

CAn anyone Help me please!!!

Thank You guys

P1361 = TDC Sensor Intermittant interuption (Engine Management)
P0740 = Torque Converter Ckutch Circuit interuption (Engine Management)
P0715 = Input/Turbine speed sensor circuit malfunction (Engine Management)

I suspect all wiring related. More than likely all three are routed through a single multi-connector. I'd take a serious look at
"took it to a mechanic and he was doing a diagnostic and touched something like a sensor or something and then the car would only go" what he was touching when this occured. Look for anything out of the ordinary, chaffed or pinched wiring, partial connectors etc.
The system is telling us it's an intermittant problem with the Engine Management System.
If it were Trans related, the D4 lamp would be flashing (instead of the "service engine soon" lamp)
Most likely the intermittant condition is throwing the EMS into "Fail-safe (Limp home) mode; limiting engine rpm's etc.

most obvious solution would be replace sensor with a new one. Intermittent sensor problems are a PITA to diag cause you have to be having the problem when you decide to troubleshoot.
