195/50/15 is the correct size for your car.

If you need/want help in selecting what is the best tire for you please answer the following questions:

1) what is the make/model/year/package of car you have and are there any mods.
2) what is your budget
3) what size rims do you have (include offset if you have it)
4) what is the climate that these tires will see? If you live in a snowy area do you have dedicated snow tires
5) what is the purpose of this car? Drag strip? Auto-X? Getting groceries? Daily driver with weekend play?
6) what is your budget and what is more important long life or stickyness?

Get 195/50-15.

If you want a good all-around tire with very good performance (on dry pavement and in rain) and reasonably long life, consider the Toyo T1-R, which onlinetires.com still has on special in that size for $60. Other good tires include the Yokohama ES100 and the Kumho Ecsta SPT, both of which are $55-60.

If you want even better performance, on dry pavement and in rain, then get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, which is $88 in that size. It's an outstanding tire, but of course you have to pay a bit more for it.

All of these tires are summer tires and are not recommended if you need to use them on snow and in frigid cold.

If you answer Neri's questions we can give you more specific advice...

82 is the load index and V is the speed rating.

You can read more about what they mean here.

Yes. Just don't drive over 149 mph for sustained periods, or let more than eight adults ride inside.

If you can get more than 8 adults in an CX and get it over 149mph....please take a pic, I would love to see that.

As NSXTASY said; you will be fine. Almost every tire you get will have a appropriate load index and speed rating for your purposes.
