what exhaust do everyone have on their ef 9?
I'm trying to find an exhaust for my ef 9. I'm just curious as to what everyone has on their cars and what they think about it, just to get an idea. thanx

i have an rs*r system I got from racign beat imported from japan. on my b16. its so damn quiet though I cannot hear it over the intake and engine. I lvoe the power gain though, and its nice because I have the rs*r stainless steel header as well, so the ful set-up makes for some good power and a rare find...tuned

greddy SP here..no cat no resanoto LOUD! good exhaust except when at 4500rpm's and between 60-65 SOOO LOUD i get pulled over for it atleast once a week

I must disagree kinda
I'm running the MX system w/o resonator but with a cat and it's still quiet.
It's just that the Greddy muffler is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long

I have the HKS sport and love it! It was almost silent at most RPMs when I had the D16 in there, but now that I have a B20, it just sounds plain evil! Very, Very deep and it scares ricers away... I've had my brother drive past me at certain RPMs at WOT and the sound makes me giggle like a schoolgirl. 50mm piping, twin stainless double walled tips, black, aluminized. beautiful. Fits like a dream!

get the tanabe Racing medallion for the crx..... then just add alitte extra piping.
That's what I had... it was on my crx but it dot totaled and i just custimozed it for the hatch.

had a GReddy Sp on my car. No cat ith 60mm piping aresonator, and the stainless muffler. QUIET! Could hear intake noise WELL over the exhaust even without the cat.
I sold that, I should have a 3" Thermal exhaust on my car soon to help with turbo spooling

Apexi world sport...very quiet, chambered muffler, HUGE resonator...dunno how it goes performance wise...but it doesn't rattle the chassis like my old header-to-cannon exhuast!

Apexi n1, custom piping with resonator. sounds good, but I need someone else to drive it while I follow so I can hear what it sounds like to everyone else.

the original japanese RS*R, which is what i have, has been stopped being sold by Racing Beat for a while. They stopped importing due to price issues and the change in currency. If you got like over a grand you can maybe import one...hah i doubt it. I know RS*R sold their design to Skunk2 but I dont know if they make one for the ef? I would, and I even might this summer, do a tanabe racing lengthened to fit. i have a b16 with intake and RS*R stainless steel header and I cannnot hear the exhaust...which is not what I was going for.

Apex World Sport with Catco cat. Sounds sweet and has 60mm (not 50mm) piping. I was very suprised and happy with the quality of this exhaust. AND I've compared it to many other higher priced ones and found it to match up well in quality. VERY cheap too. I got mine for $290. HTH Overkll
