If a crx had a stock b18 or b16 in it what would be the expected 1/4 and 0-60 times? what About with some basic bolt ons? thanks

 

Well I've seen B16 from 17 seconds to mid 15 seconds.

I've seen B18 from 17 seconds to really high 13s.

Not all B16 and B18 are the same power. B18A is 140hp and the B18C5 is 220hp.

B16A is 160 as B16B is 185hp.

Be more specific and I can be more specific.

 

Also by saying what car you have makes a difference. What kind of suspension/tires you have can help us figure out what we have scene and what we can ball park.

 

ok say a b16a2, and a gsr swap, basic bolt ons at most exhaust headers and intake

 

why do people ask stupid *** questions like these.. search for people with similar set ups.. your not gonna get any right answers... ball park area.. but who the expletive cares.. theres too many damn variables.. do the swap and find out your self

 

B16A3 is a mid 15 best ball park.
B18C1 is a mid to low 14 best ball park.

My best time with an LS in a ef with basic bolt ons, full interior, full exhaust, street tires and a 2.3 60 foot was 14.76 Crappy 60 foot because I one wheel wondered it.

 

on my old motor b16a1 intake header exhaust flywheel and clutch i went 14.3 with a 2.2 60 ft

 

to those who did not flame me thank you, I am a little more interested in 0-60 though

 

i hope your not hoping to get 220 out of an itr motor, its rated at 195 and less than that to the wheels, around 170 on average. just didnt want you to be misinformed.

 

It also depends on what year/car/model you have. I have an 88 CRX Si, I ran a 15.1 with full interior, stock tires and a just a homemade intake with stock exhaust and suspension..

 

all 0-60 is, is traction and torque

 

On friday night I ran a 14.7 with a 2.4 60 foot (damn 30 degree weather) with a B16a in my 90 SI CRX. Full interiot, full exhaust, i/h/e, on dunlop sp sport tires.
