trying to install keyless entry? please help /advice

Default trying to install keyless entry? please help /advice

i got two Door Lock Actuator from pick and pull yesterday...
off a 88 civic....i powered them up with my car batt and they work..
i just need to know how to power them up with my
alarm for my 88crx... ... i tryed wiring them through
my alarm so many diff ways but they just wont trigger...
the reason i came up with is i might need some relays..???

can this be down with relays.???

yea your gonna need some relays to flip the signals to the actuators..

try http://www.the12volt.com for some ideas on the wiring.

You will need to use 2 Bosch type 5 pin relays and wire them as a REVERSING POLARITY set-up.

Make sure your alarm doesn't come with or have them built in first.

it just says door trigger + and -
and list for unlock and lock for relays...

quick question. will i need a relay if i have the alarm already? if so i have the clifford rsx 3.5

Now that I think of it the alarm probably doesn't have the relays built in just unlock/lock signal wires since most cars (these days) already have central locking and therefore have existing relays. You'll need a relay module or if you're skilled in electronics do what Tony said above and build your own with those 2 Bosch relays. I'm pretty sure it can be universal as it just needs to get the lock/unlock signals from the alarm, the relays do the rest. Try ebay.
